Following on from the Best Practice Seminar on 25 October, in depth research was carried out into the barriers to sustainable energy measures being incorporated into housing new build or refurbishment, and the level of advice on these technologies being provided to housing professionals across the West Midlands.

The results of this research was instrumental in planning the Delivering the climate change challenge through planning and development workshop, and forms part of the final SHAP report, published in March 2006.
